What you should know about Ivory Brown Granite

About this stone

Ivory Brown is an Indian granite from Tamil Nadu, the Sivakasi area, with a warm beige-gold background and reddish-brown veins that give it an exotic look. It also appears on the market under the names Sivakashi or Shiva Gold. Over the light background you can see black and pink specks and quartz clusters.

Where it is used

We bring it in as a 2 cm slab, polished, the finish in which the warm tones come out best. It is a stone suited to spaces where a warm colour is wanted, not a cool one.

Good to know

Recommended for countertops, paving, stair treads and window sills. The colour varies naturally from slab to slab, so choose the pieces for a project from the same batch.

FAQ

Common questions

Is every slab really different?
Yes. Natural stone forms over millions of years, so no two slabs share the exact same pattern. That is why we invite you to pick your own slab at the depot.
How often should the stone be sealed?
For granite, roughly every 18–24 months depending on use; a kitchen worktop more often than a wall cladding. Marble needs sealing more often. We tell you exactly which product to use.
Can you match a backsplash to the worktop?
Yes — it is cut from the same block so the colour matches the worktop. We discuss this when you order.
