Juparana India is a stone from Karnataka, the Kanakapura area, with a warm pink background over which grey-blue bands are laid - a gentle contrast that gives it character. It is also found under the names Indian Juparana or Mauve Juparana.
Geologically it is a migmatite, a Precambrian rock formed through partial melting and recrystallisation; commercially, however, it is sold as granite, together with the rest of the Juparana family. We supply it as a 2 cm slab, polished.
It is used for countertops, stair treads and window sills. Each slab has its own pattern, so we recommend selecting the pieces for a project from the same batch.
