What you should know about Jaguar Granite

About this stone

Jaguar is an exotic Brazilian granite, with a warm golden-brown background run through with waves of grey, cream and chocolate brown, plus dark deposits that add depth. The name comes from the pattern, which recalls the coat of the jungle cat.

Where it is used

It is a striking stone, in which no slab looks like another - the pattern changes greatly from one piece to the next. That is exactly why it works where a one-of-a-kind surface is wanted, not a uniform one.

Good to know

We supply it as a 2 cm slab, polished, for countertops, stair treads and window sills. For a large project, we recommend viewing the slabs beforehand so you can match the pattern.

FAQ

Common questions

Is every slab really different?
Yes. Natural stone forms over millions of years, so no two slabs share the exact same pattern. That is why we invite you to pick your own slab at the depot.
How often should the stone be sealed?
For granite, roughly every 18–24 months depending on use; a kitchen worktop more often than a wall cladding. Marble needs sealing more often. We tell you exactly which product to use.
Can you match a backsplash to the worktop?
Yes — it is cut from the same block so the colour matches the worktop. We discuss this when you order.
