Imperial Gold is a gneiss — a rock formed under pressure, in which the minerals arranged themselves in layers and veins. That is why every slab has a different pattern. The fine dark mineral spots (burgundy and black clusters) are natural crystals, not defects.
Very hard and resistant to scratches, heat and stains, it works for kitchen countertops used daily, for islands and backsplashes. The warm cream-gold suits white, cream, grey or natural-wood furniture and brings warmth to a kitchen. Common industry thicknesses are 2 and 3 cm; we tell you what we keep in stock by phone.
Like any granite in heavy use, sealing every 18–24 months keeps its stain resistance. Outdoors it withstands the weather; for garden paths and terraces, textured finishes (flamed, river-washed, bush-hammered) are used so it does not become slippery.
