What you should know about Giallo Ornamental Granite

About this stone

Giallo Ornamental is one of the best-known Brazilian granites: a warm cream-gold background with fine dark-grey and brown veining that gives it its pattern. It is also found under the names Giallo Santo or Amarello Ornamental.

Where it is used

We bring it in as a 2 cm slab, polished or brushed. The colour varies naturally, from light beige to a deeper gold depending on the batch - a sign that it is real stone, not a standardised product.

Good to know

It works for kitchen countertops, stair treads and window sills, but also for wall cladding and flooring. For a large project, choose the slabs together.

FAQ

Common questions

Is every slab really different?
Yes. Natural stone forms over millions of years, so no two slabs share the exact same pattern. That is why we invite you to pick your own slab at the depot.
How often should the stone be sealed?
For granite, roughly every 18–24 months depending on use; a kitchen worktop more often than a wall cladding. Marble needs sealing more often. We tell you exactly which product to use.
Can you match a backsplash to the worktop?
Yes — it is cut from the same block so the colour matches the worktop. We discuss this when you order.
