Vizag Blue is an Indian granite quarried near the port city of Visakhapatnam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The blue-grey background is crossed by darker waves with violet reflections, and here and there small reddish flecks appear — these are natural garnets, a trace of the rock's very ancient formation.
It is a dense, hard granite that stands up well to scratches, heat and stains. That is exactly why it so often ends up on kitchen countertops and stair treads, where the stone is used daily and must hold up for many years without tiring.
We supply it as a 2 cm half-slab, with a polished surface that brings out the depth of the colour. A choice for those who want a stone with character that still stays in neutral tones, easy to match.
