What you should know about Paradiso Classic Granite

About this stone

Exotic granite with a character all its own — a purple-brown background crossed by grey waves that flow like ripples across the stone.

Where it is used

It comes from southern India and is a Precambrian migmatite, with plenty of movement in its pattern: each slab has its own design, with shades of purple, grey, black and, in places, bluish reflections.

Good to know

A material sought after for countertops, stair treads and window sills, when you want a stone with personality rather than a uniform one.

FAQ

Common questions

Is every slab really different?
Yes. Natural stone forms over millions of years, so no two slabs share the exact same pattern. That is why we invite you to pick your own slab at the depot.
How often should the stone be sealed?
For granite, roughly every 18–24 months depending on use; a kitchen worktop more often than a wall cladding. Marble needs sealing more often. We tell you exactly which product to use.
Can you match a backsplash to the worktop?
Yes — it is cut from the same block so the colour matches the worktop. We discuss this when you order.
